Description
The Seychelles 50 rupee banknote was introduced by the Central Bank of Seychelles in 1998. Its obverse features the countrys coat of arms, the map of Seychelles, an angelfish, and Paille en queue orchids. On the reverse of the note are cowrie shells, cars, the clock tower which is situated in Victoria, a yellow-fin tuna fish, and a tiomitio bird. The 151 x 75 mm paper bill bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBS and a watermark that reflects a turtle. Additionally, it carries the signature of Governor Norman Weber and has a registration device in the form of a turtle. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
