    Description

    This auction is for an original Reading Railroad desk Notepad holder from the 1950s.  The notepad consists of a rectangular bronze plate, with a cast decoration of T-1 Class locomotive 2100 attached at the top.  The front of the locomotive casting has raised lettering which reads: "Reading Railway System" followed by the Reading/Lines diamond logo.  A pair of silk braided cords is attached to the end of the tender that once held writing utensils.  The underside of the bronze plate as a piece of black felt attached to prevent scratching the surface of the desk.
    Piece is in overall good condition, but is missing its original paper note pad and writing utensil.  See photos for additional information.
