A very early Silver Grosso of 7 Soldi from the Republic of Florence. The coin is undated, but from the mintmaster initials, we know it was minted in 1513. Standing John the Baptist on the obverse, traditional Florentine lily on the reverse. The coin exhibits strong details, but has been cleaned long ago. Diameter is 23 mm. Cataloged as MIR-68.9.
