    Description

    A very rare and forgotten piece of human history in the form of a 19th century rattan Victorian Carriage/wagon wheel cover used to cover muddy wagon wheels as fashionable woman in long dresses would step on and off board the wagon.  The driver would hold by the handle and place over the wagon wheel as he helped the lady into the carriage ensuring her dress would not dirty.
    In Fair condition considering age and rarity.  Exhibits some dings and snags and part of the handle has come detached over the years but still quite sound and well preserved for its age and fragility.
    Measures just over 29” in length.
