    Description

Thanks 1988 Mask and Wig Club Lurline, Again University of Pennsylvania Program Rare!. This is the centennial production. Lurline was the clubs first play in 1889. Framed. Back opened for inspection only to verify is a full program or poster. It is a full program and appears in mint near mint condition. 8.5”x11” Program not removed. Art work by P.J. Cohen dated 88. Early 20th century programs sell for 5 to 0+. Cannot find another one from this era. From the The Mask and Wig Club web site: founded in 1889 by Clayton Fotterall McMichael, is the oldest all-male collegiate musical comedy troupe in the United States. Founded as an alternative to the existing theatrical and dramatic outlets at the University of Pennsylvania, Mask and Wig has presented comedy, music, and dancing to the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and audiences across the country. The Club’s performers, or “The Cast” stage two all-original shows each year in collaboration with the Club. Believe this program belonged to a long time member, Mike Huber as the name Huber found on the reverse. Mike Huber W’53 ASC’61, Penn’s former director of alumni relations (and publisher of the Gazette). Found in an estate. Make a reasonable offer and you may be surprised.
