The brochure reads, in part, as follows:
"It was here in this plain and simple home that the only Gettysburg resident was fatally shot, while the town was riddled with the countless shot of the contending forces which fought around it.  Now 100 years later, reverting to yesteryear from basement to attic, Jennie's story is being told in factual dramatization.  With the fatal bullet hole and many more still exposed, the Jennie Wade House is presenting to the public, the ultimate in Civil War heritage."
"JENNIE WADE, twenty-year-old fiancee of Corporal 'Jack' Skelly, was the only Gettysburg civilian killed during the three-day Battle of Gettysburg.  Jennie was baking bread at the home of her sister, Mrs. McClellan, when this freak tragedy occurred.  A Confederate musket bullet pierced the outer door, passed through the kitchen door, and lodged in Jennie's back, killing her instantly.  Two days later, destiny struck again--Corporal Skelly was killed at Winchester."
