    Rare souvenir program from the March 24, 1905 testimonial to actor Joseph Jefferson Holland held at the Metropolitan Opera House measures 12 1/4" x 8 5/8" with paper covers, string binding, 16 pages, b+w illustrations by Kemble, Remington etc, seating chart, list of committee members, patrons, supporting artists and authors, businessmen, cast for the evening's performances, ads etc.
    Holland was forced to retire from the stage due to illness; this testimonial was a benefit for him which raised over ,000 according to an article in The New York Times of March 25, 1905.
    The program is inscribed "To Ethel with love from Joseph Holland, March 1905"
