1684 Italy Papal States Piastra DAV-4093C NGC AU-58 Innocent XI

Description

1684 Papal States Piastra (Scudo of 80 Bolognini).  Classified as DAV-4093C, which is the more scarce of the issues this year.  The difference can be seen in the date placement on the reverse.  Graded on the high end of NGC AU-58 spectrum; this is a borderline uncirculated piastra.
Reverse inscription translates roughly as "Thy right hand, O Lord, has struck the enemy" as a reference to the victory of Christian forces against the Ottoman forces in the Battle of Vienna.
44mm in size.  Struck during seat of Pope Innocent XI.  Only piece graded at NGC for this DAV-4093C.  Shipped with USPS First Class with insurance.
