Onthe auspicious occasion of the 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of His MajestyKing Rama IX on December 5, 2011, the Bank of Thailand has been granted a royalpermission to produce and issue commemorative banknotes in honor of His Majestythe King.
TheBank of Thailand has designed a 100 baht commemorative banknote with acompletely new design. Announced to be issued on June 24, 2011 and exchangedon December 2, 2011 at a price of 200 baht per copy with pamphlets.
